So here it is…
…the most efficient way to track my recipes. I enjoy all things kitchen and I love trying new recipes. I’m excited to finally have a way to track new finds and share them too. This blog will record recipes I’ve found and some straight from the KrausnicKitchen, like this one, my husband’s favorite granola.
K’s Granola (c=cup, T=tablespoon, t=teaspoon)
Prepare two large jelly roll pans by lining with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. On medium heat, in a saucepan, heat these ingredients and stir to dissolve the sugar.
2/3 c veggie oil (coconut oil works too)
1/2 c maple syrup
2/3 c honey
1/2 c brown sugar
In a large bowl mix the oats, flakes and nuts.
8 c old-fashioned oats
4 c unsweetened coconut flakes
2 c roasted, unsalted almonds or cashews
2 c raisins, craisins, or other dried fruit (ADD AFTER BAKING)
Carefully pour warmed syrup over the dry ingredients and stir to coat. Spread half of mixture on each prepared pan and bake for 8 minutes, stir granola to prevent burning, rotate pans and bake an additional 8 minutes, stir granola and rotate pans and bake another 8 minutes, or until medium golden brown. Remove from oven. Immediately scrape into a metal bowl or container to prevent sticking to pan, stir occasionally to cool. Store in a lidded container for weeks. Use it in oatmeal, on yogurt, or as a cereal.
