Protein Bars for Parkour-Training Husband

These protein bars aren’t for me or the kids, but my hubby loves them for his insane workouts and parkour training. I got this recipe from my friend Tina and they are a hit! (By the way, if you make them with chocolate powder, they taste like no bake cookies.)

Protein Bars 

Spray a 9 x 13 pan. In a small sauce pan melt & incorporate:
2 c of natural peanut butter
1-3/4 c honey

In a bowl combine:
2-1/4 c vanilla protein powder (or chocolate)
3 c old-fashioned oats

Pour peanut butter mixture over oats. Mix until combined. Press into pan and refrigerate 1 hour. Cut into 24 bars, place in zip top bags and refrigerate to maintain firm bars. (Estimate 200 calories and 12 grams of protein per bar.)

  1. Had to google parkour! Sounds fun. I’ll have to try these, sound yummy and will be great for days when I do long runs.
